A partnership between thirteen independent publishers, Bookselling Without Borders supports travel to international book fairs for US booksellers.
The applications period for BWB’s 2019 fellowships opens today.
This unique program connects US booksellers to the international book community through all-expenses-paid trips to the world’s premier book fairs. The program is expanding this year to include the Istanbul Book Fair, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and a residency in India that includes the Jaipur Lit Fest and Delhi Book Fair, in addition to the Turin Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Participating booksellers will be treated to customized itineraries of specially developed panels, meetings, seminars, and receptions with their international counterparts, authors, and publishers.
Booksellers interested in diverse and international literature, in fostering relationships with the international bookselling community, and in traveling to some of the world’s great literary cities are encouraged to apply by visiting booksellingwithoutborders.com during the application period, January 16 through February 4.
