Actions and Points

Simplified Tracking: Every 500 points accrued equals an additional $50 in SIBA credit. One point is one dime.

In addition to the actions listed below, SIBA offers points throughout the year for specific actions not named here. When that happens, an Earn Your Way to SIBA email is sent to all members notifying them of the special B3 opportunity.

  • Nominate Okra pick – 2 points 
  • Recommend titles for the Holiday Catalog – 2 points 
  • Provide a resource to the Peer Brain Trust – 3 points 
  • Southern Book Prize ballots - 3 points per returned ballot
  • Submit a book review (including via Edelweiss) – 4 points 
  • Survey Participation / Board Ballot - 5 points per when identified
  • Place an order at the SIBA Discovery Show – 5 points 
  • Enter an event in the STARS calendar – 5 points
  • Refer a friend to the Lady Banks Commonplace Book newsletter – 5 points
  • Attend B3! Webinar (1 hour session ) - 10 points 
  • Post "Special to the Southern List" on website - 10 points
  • Post the web version of the Holiday Catalog – 10 points 
  • Submit a parapalooza video (parapalooza@sibaweb.com) – 10 points
  • Attend B3! Bookclub (1 hour session) - 15 points 
  • Attend any SIBA Event – 15 points 
  • Serve on Advisory - 15 points 
  • Submit photo of Okra Picks /Southern Book Prize / Conroy Legacy / Holiday Catalog / Read This! Displays – 20 points each
  • Present/Moderate/Emcee any SIBA event - 20 points 
  • Sending Okra Pick / Holiday Catalog emails - 2o points per issue sent
  • Report Okra Picks Sales – 50 points per submission
  • Peer Reviewer - 50 points per review
  • Order the Holiday Catalog – 50 points 
  • Committee Work (Conroy Legacy Award, Gift Wrap, Influencers) - 50 points annually
  • Hosting Trio and providing sales data - 100 points
  • Full participation in BookLab - 300-500 points
  • Peer Review Host Store - 300 points
